~The Lair of Madame Tarantula~

Japanese song lyric transliterations/English translations & ヴィジュアル系 [Vijuaru-Kei] (Visual Kei) magazine scans.

All transliterations and translations have been done personally by me.

Each song lyric has its own page (instead of the usual "post" format) containing the transliterations and my English translations on the page in a format that makes it easier for me to post and also allows anyone to copy and paste them for their own use. To find a song, simply click the artist's photo in one of the side columns or the artist's name listed in the rows at the top of this site, which will take you to a complete discography listing (if I've had the time to create it, some are not finished yet) and links for any song I've translated and posted on this site.

As for magazine scans, the scan directories are underneath the discography sections for each artist, in alphabetical order by magazine, then chronological order after that. All editing has been done by me (alignment, cropping, color correction, watermark removal, etc.)

I will try to credit whomever did the scans when I post them (if I happen to know who did the scans, though a lot of these are from over the years and I may not know), so if you happen to not be credited, please e-mail me and let me know. Knowing this, I WILL be removing any watermarks on any scans, as I believe this is intrusive to the scan and actually not definitive of "ownership," so I apologize if this upsets anyone, but scans shouldn't be marred with text that wasn't part of it. If anyone has better quality scans of anything I post/any scans that I might not have, please e-mail and let me know, I will post them! I have a massive amount of scans still left to post, but limited free time right now to do so, so I will try to post as many as I can each day, time allotting. Thank you!

枯れすすき [Karesusuki] (2000)

VELVET EDEN

Title Translation: "Withered Silver Grass (something that is shriveled and just sways in the breeze meaninglessly; in Japan, this is a term representing someone who has no purpose in life, who doesn't amount to anything)" (Japanese)
Music: HORA
Lyrics: DADA

Lyrics
———————————————————————————————————————————

……CLASH!

Rōmaji Lyrics
———————————————————————————————————————————
Umarete kita toki kara…futari wa musubareteta
Tsugi umarete kite mo…eien ni fumetsu desu
“Sono kuruma, tomarinasai!…Anta gata doko no hito?
Shiranai no?…Koko kara wa Tengoku ka Jigoku da yo!”
Shūchakueki ni wa…rōpu to mikanbako
Mienai furi o shite akuseru fumikomō

Kebasugiru ranjerī…joshuseki de nemuru kimi
Rajio kara kaidenpa…kō de nakya, doraivu wa

Pura-mai-zero, desho?…Dōka to omō yo?
Go-kurō-sama desu…futari wa karesusuki
...CLASH!

My English Translation
———————————————————————————————————————————
From the time of our births…we two were destined to be together
Even if we are born again…our relationship will never cease and be eternal
“That car, stop!…Where are you guys from?
Don’t you know?…From here it is either Heaven or Hell!”
At the terminal station…there are a rope and a mandarin orange box
I will pretend not to see them and press the gas

In too garish lingerie…you who sleep in the passenger’s seat
Strange E&M (electromagnetic) waves from the radio…this is the way to drive

We are break-even, aren’t we?…What do you think?
I appreciate your effort…we two are like withered silver grass
...CRASH!
