~The Lair of Madame Tarantula~

Japanese song lyric transliterations/English translations & ヴィジュアル系 [Vijuaru-Kei] (Visual Kei) magazine scans.

All transliterations and translations have been done personally by me.

Each song lyric has its own page (instead of the usual "post" format) containing the transliterations and my English translations on the page in a format that makes it easier for me to post and also allows anyone to copy and paste them for their own use. To find a song, simply click the artist's photo in one of the side columns or the artist's name listed in the rows at the top of this site, which will take you to a complete discography listing (if I've had the time to create it, some are not finished yet) and links for any song I've translated and posted on this site.

As for magazine scans, the scan directories are underneath the discography sections for each artist, in alphabetical order by magazine, then chronological order after that. All editing has been done by me (alignment, cropping, color correction, watermark removal, etc.)

I will try to credit whomever did the scans when I post them (if I happen to know who did the scans, though a lot of these are from over the years and I may not know), so if you happen to not be credited, please e-mail me and let me know. Knowing this, I WILL be removing any watermarks on any scans, as I believe this is intrusive to the scan and actually not definitive of "ownership," so I apologize if this upsets anyone, but scans shouldn't be marred with text that wasn't part of it. If anyone has better quality scans of anything I post/any scans that I might not have, please e-mail and let me know, I will post them! I have a massive amount of scans still left to post, but limited free time right now to do so, so I will try to post as many as I can each day, time allotting. Thank you!

黒揚羽 [Kuroageha] (Demo Version) (2001)

Title Translation: “Spangle” (a species of black swallowtail butterfly, Papilio protenor) (Japanese)
Music: 洞 [Hora]

Lyrics

Rōmaji Lyrics
———————————————————————————————————————————
Watashi no kirei datta hane wa
Konna ni made mo
Fukaku yogorete shimatta

Hikarabita yakusoku wa
Nido to kaeranai wa
Tsukisasaru jōkei ga itamu no
Imi no nai karada1 nado
Hikichigiri
Sasageru wa
…Koko kara tsuredashite

Kegarawashii sekai nado
Mō unzari nano yo
Furan shita jōshiki mo
Chōshō mo!
Nanimokamo subete sasageru kara
O-negai yo
…Koko kara tsuredashite

Note:
‘shitai' is what is written, but ‘karada’ is what is sung.

My English Translation
———————————————————————————————————————————
I regret that my wings, which used to be beautiful
Have become deeply dirty
As much as this

The stale promise we made
Will not come back again
It hurts to see this scene which is piercing to look at
I will offer you, world
Such a thing like this meaningless body1 of mine
After I tear it apart
…Take me away from here

I already feel disgusted
With such a thing like this obscene world
I will offer you rotten/decomposed and corrupt
Common sense!
As well as ridicule and everything else, all of them, so
Please
…Take me away from here

Note:
1 ‘limbs’/‘body’ is what is written, but ‘body’ is what is sung.
